Scholarships

Each year the Pennsylvania HOSA Foundation awards scholarships for graduating seniors who are members of a HOSA chapter that can be applied toward tuition, books or other ancillary costs at a technical school, college or university where the student will pursue a course of study in a health field. These scholarships are awarded at the annual HOSA conference usually held in April of each year with application deadlines in March.

During the 2008/2009 academic year, 30 scholarships were awarded in the amount of $2,000.00 and 10 scholarships in the amount of $1,500.00 to qualified HOSA candidates pursuing health careers.

The Penn HOSA Foundation is able to offer these scholarship awards due to major contributions by Capital BlueCross, Country Meadows Retirement Communities, Genesis Health Care, Independence Blue Cross, the Kline Foundation, the PHEAA Foundation, and the Stabler Foundation and the Lloyd Schumacker Fund and individual donors.
