Hello!  I am Duncan Rodriquez, your 2010-2011 Historian. It is an honor to serve in this organization and its great members. I am form Kunkletown and I attend Pleasant Valley High School as well as Monroe Career and Technical Institute and currently I am enrolled in the Nursing Assistant program. By becoming an officer in HOSA, I feel that I am starting on my path to becoming a Registered Nurse. Here are some events to keep in mind for the upcoming months.

Please be advised that State Officer Candidate applications will be do on February 9th. Please work diligently to complete your application and have your adviser mail it to Mrs. Pavlovic, State Officer Coordinator.   Also please make sure you are making your final preparations for the State Conference. Whether it be finishing up a project, making the last edit to your speeches, or honing your skills. Also, just a reminder that the 2011 National Leadership Conference will be held in Anaheim, California from June 22-26, 2011.  Hope to see you all at nationals in the sunny state of California.

Career and Technical Education Week is next week and the officer team will be attending the event in Harrisburg.  Our President Al Tariq Hill will be speaking on behalf of Penn HOSA at the dinner Tuesday evening February 8th.   Please don’t let the cold, dreary weather dampen your true HOSA spirits.  The entire officer team will be anxious to see you in 4 weeks in Lancaster, Pa for our State Leadership Conference.

Sincerely,

Duncan Rodriguez 2009-2010 PennHOSA Historian
